Half-day trips are great in the heat of the summer when the bite is typically early or late and the mid-day sun can be brutal.

Half Day (4 Hours)                           $500

6 Hours                                                    $600

6-hour trips are a great option if the 4 hours in a half-day trip have passed by a little too quickly and leaving those tailing fish doesn't feel quite right.

I recommend full-day trips in the Fall, Winter, and Spring when the bite can last all day and our best light for sightfishing is mid-day.

Full Day (8 Hours)                            $700

Deposit

A $100 deposit is due at time of booking to reserve dates.

Payments are accepted through Venmo, Zelle, cash, or check.

What to Expect

We will be poling shallow flats and marsh looking for opportunities to sight cast at Redfish, Sheepshead, and Black Drum.  Precision is the name of the game, so it may be a good idea to practice target casting beforehand, but time on the water is the best way to improve. Accuracy is much more important than distance as the majority of our shots will be well inside 50ft and it is not uncommon cast to fish a rod length away! Regardless of your experience level, this is some of the most fun you can have on the water.

Trips are limited to 2 anglers, but I work with other guides in the area and larger parties can be accommodated.

Sage and Scott fly rods and reels are provided as well as light spinning gear. Flies, lures, and other tackle are also provided but you are welcome to bring your own.

We practice catch and release to help preserve our fishery.

Water will be provided in an insulated container for refills, but I ask that you limit single-use plastics by bringing a reusable water bottle. Any drinks, snacks or lunches are welcome and a 35qt Yeti cooler is available for use on the boat.

  • Polarized Sunglasses (copper or amber is best)

  • Sunscreen (please avoid sprays as they damage fly lines and the boat)

  • Sun protective clothing

  • Non-marking shoes (gum bottom or similar)

  • Valid Texas fishing license- One-day saltwater fishing licenses are available online for $11.

  • If bringing your own gear, 7-9wt 9' fly rods with WF floating line or medium light spinning gear is best.
